  • Job Description
    
     

    Duties & Responsibilities

     

    1. New Product Development

     

    Research new product development for business needs

    Identify customer’s challenges and needs with their technical teams

     

    Conduct project feasibility assessment for business needs

    Perform product development projects scoping activities according to customer requirements and provide estimated budget of projects after consideration of all resources (including manpower, equipment and consumables) that are needed to deliver the project within a specific timeframe.

    Liaise with collaborator for product innovation

    Fulfil project deliverables and customer requirements

    Evaluate the efficacy of polymers, reinforcements and additives on the properties and functions.

    Recommend the raw materials based on performance vs. cost analysis.

    Conduct and provide data analysis and project progress report

     

    Propose and recommend new technology development roadmap for future OPS product pipeline

    Develop business case for implementing new technologies

    2. Bench Experiment & Scale-up Management

     

    Conduct experimental runs for new product development and commercialize the product.

    Transfer product knowledge and technical data during the scale up process for mass production.

    Validate the product performance to meet product specification during the scale up process.

    Implement product testing protocol and procedure for product validation.

    Coach the new staff to operate testing equipment & process machinery.

    Operate the testing equipment & process machinery to conduct laboratory scale trial run activities.

    Provide technical support to resolve quality issues related to material & process control.

    Maintain safe work environment in accordance with all Safety Procedures.

    3. Work Management

     

    Participate in ISO QMS implementation and audit activities.

    Undertake tasks & projects as assigned to achieve organization objectives.

    Job Requirements (Education & Direct Experience)

     

    Min. Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Materials Science

    Min. 2 Years Working Experience in organic and inorganic materials formulation, polymer processing and characterization.

    OR

     

    Min. Diploma in Chemical/Materials Science

    Min. 5 Years Working Experience in organic and inorganic materials formulation, polymer processing and characterization.
